GloriaFood alternative: move your menu before it shuts down
Updated
GloriaFood has announced that it will reach end of life on April 30, 2027. If your restaurant uses it for a QR menu, table ordering or online orders, you will need somewhere new before then, and it is far easier to switch on a quiet week now than in a rush next April.
This guide covers what is confirmed, how to move without losing a day of service, and where menulink.live fits. We are a QR menu and ordering platform, so we have tried to be clear about what we replace and what we do not.
What is confirmed
GloriaFood's own website states the end-of-life date of April 30, 2027. Oracle, which owns GloriaFood, says it does not offer a direct replacement and points customers to FoodAmigos, a partner offering online ordering.
Several migration articles from other vendors say menus, customer lists and order history will not be kept after the shutdown. GloriaFood's own page only gives the date, so the safe assumption is the same: save anything you need well before April 2027.
Before you switch: save your data
While your GloriaFood account still works, keep a copy of:
- Your full menu, with prices, sizes and add-ons. A PDF or a set of screenshots is enough to rebuild it elsewhere.
- Any customer contact list you are allowed to keep, and your recent order totals, for your own records.
- Where your GloriaFood links and QR codes appear: table stickers, your website's order button, Google Business Profile, social media bios.
What menulink.live replaces
If you mainly use GloriaFood for dine-in, menulink.live covers it:
- A QR menu guests can read on any phone, free with unlimited dishes, and an AI import that reads your menu from a photo or PDF.
- Table and counter ordering on the menulink Orders plan ($9.99 a month): a QR code per table, a cart, guests' notes, sizes and add-ons.
- A live orders screen for staff with sound alerts, tables and open tabs, "call staff" and "bill please" requests, and a customer board showing ready orders.
- Pay-at-counter or pay-after-meal flows, with orders marked paid by staff.
- Menus in up to 8 languages and your own domain on menulink QR Pro or Orders.
What menulink.live does not replace (yet)
Be sure these are not essential to you before switching:
- Online card payments when ordering. Guests pay staff today.
- Delivery and pickup ordering from your website.
- Table reservations.
- Email marketing and automated promotions.
How to move in an afternoon
- Sign up free and import your menu from the PDF or screenshots you saved. Check the dishes and prices it reads.
- Add sizes and add-ons as option groups, and attach them to the dishes that need them.
- If you take orders, upgrade to menulink Orders, add your tables and print the QR sheet. Open the staff screen on a tablet in the kitchen or at the counter.
- Place a few test orders yourself, from a table code and at the counter.
- Replace your GloriaFood QR codes and links: table stickers, website button, Google Business Profile and social bios.
- Run both for a few days if you can, then switch GloriaFood off once you are confident.
Which alternative is right for you
If online card payments and delivery are the core of your business, choose a platform that offers them today, such as the FoodAmigos option Oracle suggests or another online-ordering specialist. If you are mostly dine-in or counter service and want a fast menu and simple, affordable table ordering without commissions, menulink.live is built for exactly that.
