Introducing menulink.live: QR menus that are actually free
· 3 min read
Most restaurants that went contactless did it the quick way: they put a QR code on the table and pointed it at a PDF of the printed menu. Guests pinch and zoom, the file goes out of date, and nobody enjoys it.
The alternatives tend to be heavyweight ordering platforms with free plans that stop at a few dozen dishes. For a café, a food truck or a small restaurant that just wants a good menu, that is a lot of product to pay for.
What we built
- A mobile menu page at your own address, like yourcafe.menulink.live.
- Unlimited dishes and scans on the free plan.
- Photos, dietary tags and a sold-out switch for mid-service changes.
- Six themes, from a clean café look to a poster style for food trucks.
- A QR code that never changes, however often you edit the menu.
How it pays for itself
Free menus show a small "Menu by menulink.live" link at the bottom. If you would rather your menu carried only your brand, menulink QR Pro removes it for $2.99 a month.
What is next
We are starting with the menu because it is the part every restaurant needs. We will add more over time, guided by what owners ask for. If there is something you wish your menu did, tell us.
